Recently reunited Soundgarden are to release their first collection of music since 1996 in the form of “Telephantasm,” which will be available on September 27 – alongside an array of extras.
Chris Cornell and co. took to the stage together for the first time in 12 years in Seattle earlier this year, and this retrospective new release includes a brand-spanking new track, “Black Rain,” alongside other well-known tracks from the seminal grunge foursome. However they are to launch “Telephantasm” with a twist; it is to be released inside 1 million copies of the new videogame Guitar Hero®: Warriors of Rock, the first release of it’s kind.
Also available will be three expanded versions of “Telephantasm” which will include a double-disc with 12 additional tracks, five of which are previously unreleased, and Soundgarden’s first-ever DVD, featuring 20 videos, and a Deluxe 3-LP Vinyl Edition and an individually numbered Super Deluxe Collector’s Edition. Phew!
