It is sort of a given that if a famous movie actor decides to take the stage for the first time in high profile, they are risking scrutiny of the highest calibre from the press. It is a bold and brave career making move for most but for Rosamund Pike it’s just another day in the over achieving ‘life of’. Straight from Cambridge, she took roles in films such as Pride and Prejudice and has even been a Bond villain. Now she is the title role, dubbed the ‘female Hamlet’, in this play of dark realism and comedy. To top it off, the cast is heaped with familiar faces, including the ever so witty Tim McInnerny (Blackadder’s infamous Lord Percy).
The show runs until March 13 at the Brighton Theatre Royal.
