Seven Webster & Claire Lloyd from music management company 7pm ask the industry which acts we should look out for.
Jonathan Cooke – (Manager – Go West / Pure Reason Revolution)
Ellie Rose
I saw her perform at 14 years old, and even then there was the beginning of something special. Now aged 17 she’s signed to Peer Music and has just been recording with Frankmusik for her first EP, due in May/June. Her first single, a Japanese language cover version of “Head In The Clouds”, was released in Japan last year, and with over 100 shows behind her, and Hop Farm and Cornbury festivals already confirmed, 2013 is looking good. Find out more about her at EllieRose.co.uk
Dan Puusari – (Drummer – The Cub Scouts)
Ball Park Music
I don’t know whether people in the UK know this fellow Australian act yet but they’re one of my favorites. Their track Fence Sitter is well worth searching out on you tube. Its brilliant lyrically .Great vox and quirky as hell. If you are looking for a band that have that break rules musically while cramming everything into three minute pop songs then check out Ball Park Music now. Check them on Facebook at Facebook.com/BallParkMusic
Steve Wolfie – (7pm Management and ex worldwide head of International Universal/MCA Records)
Ady Suleiman
After hearing Ady’s session for MistaJam on BBC Introducing its easy to see why this artist is attracting so much attention with A&Rs heading up to Liverpool in abundance to check him out. His soulful blend of rhythmic vocals could set alight most backing tracks and I am sure in 2013 we are likely to be hearing a lot more of this guy. He is also among one of the first artists confirmed for this years Truckfestival so if you are going definitely check him out. Check out his Facebook at Facebook.com/AdySuleimanMusic
Dan Devita – (Booking agent – TKO agency)
Heaven’s Basement
Heaven’s Basement is an act im really excited about and have just taken on. The band have just finished a first solo UK headline tour with most shows selling out and have just signed a global record deal with Red Bull Records who could nt be more supportive as a label. They are already confirmed for numerous Festivals across the globe this summer and they seem to also be building well in the US too. In short the future is bright for Heavens Basement. Check out the website HeavensBasement.com for more info
Ben Hylands – (Booking agent – IAA agency) (ROCK ACT OF THE MONTH)
Savage Messiah
Savage Messiah are a great metal act who have just released their latest album on Earache Records. For lovers of classic metal Savage Messiah deliver on every level. If you are into classic riffage and love acts like Judas Priest and early Maiden then you will love this band as while they draw from the past they also have a modern edge in the production too. Check out their Facebook at Facebook.com/SavageMessiahMetal The band were offering free copies of their album via Earache.com
