Under the moniker VV Brown, Vanessa Brown comes to Brighton later this month for a one-off show at the Concorde 2. The pop-soul diva has been described as “modern-day doyen of doo-wop”, and in December last year she was nominated for the BBC’s Sound of 2009 award, alongside acts including Little Boots and Lady GaGa.
VV has performed on Later With Jools Holland and The Sunday Night Project, and before she shot to solo stardom, she sang backing vocals for Madonna, Westlife and The Pussycat Dolls. Her debut album ‘Travelling Like The Light’ in July 2009, a work written while mending a broken heart. VV Brown is theatrical and charismatic, this show is sure to be a night full of fun and surprises.
