With the follow up to their 2010 breakthrough album “The Fool”, Warpaint are back to showcase what is said to be their most sultry and hypnotic effort to date, choosing to do so in the opulent but still intimate surroundings of Brighton Dome. Growing stronger with each release, prepare for subtle sensuality and turbulent guitars.
Having spent the last few years touring and performing at almost every festival across the globe, the quartet are back with an entrancing blend of post-punk, R’n’B infused slow jams and oppressive psychedelia. New singles “Love Is To Die” and “Biggy” have already reacquainted mainstream radio’s love with the alluring female foursome from LA, suggesting a promising second album. Incomparable, not often do female line-ups present such angst and emotion in a rhythmic dream of melodic vocals and nonchalant dispositions.
Harmonic but brooding, their sound is unique, beautifully introspective and intricate, ever providing mesmerizing tales of love, heartache and obsession. Experience a meandering of genres with full emotion and little pretense with one of the most captivating live bands of the moment.
Doors open 7.30pm, £17.50 in adv. via brightondome.org, Age 16+
