The two angriest girls in music today, Deap Vally are bringing their noisy grunge infused blues-rock to Concorde 2 this November in the midst of what will be their biggest UK tour to date. If you didn’t catch any of their raucous performance at The Great Escape earlier this year then now is the chance to see one of the most captivating and energetic live bands of the moment.
After a busy summer of festivals including Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury and End of the road, the two feminist riot girls have scored a top 40 album with Sistrionix as well as mainstream success with fantastically disorderly singles “Gonna make my own money” and “End of the world”.
With ferocious lyrics and huge riffs, the band’s two-woman resonance is similar to that of The White Stripes and The Black Keys, creating a colossal wall of sound just from the stripped back essentials of rock and roll. Providing gritty distortion-smothered grunge reminiscent of the 90’s, Deap Vally are full of righteous anger and damn good songs and what’s best is they don’t give a f**k if you like it or not.
The self proclaimed bad-ass valley girls from Los Angeles are sure to bring the attitude and noise so make sure you get down and revel in the riot.
Starts 7pm, ÂŁ10.50 in adv+bf, Age 14+
