Matt Parker, Chris Amblin and Ayu Okakita, following a series of internet-based interactions between 2007 and 2008, decided to meet in the flesh in the spring of 2008 to explore their “bordering on obsessive ideas” of electronic and analogue instrumentation, and Nedry was born. Amblin and Parker began performing as a two-piece using the Nedry name whilst Okakita was in her homeland Japan, and by early 2009 the trio were developing sounds and pushing Nedry’s style into exciting directions. Nedry released their debut album Condors earlier this year to rave reviews. Uncut Magazine offered four stars and said “(Nedry) reinvent the (trip-hop) genre on their terrific debut, a futuristic sonic collage of dreamy glitch-folk, shimmering electronica and weapons grade dubstep percussion.”
With support from the man behind the Cookshop record label, Lost Idol, and South London trio Raf & O.
