A six-track digital release from the self-proclaimed adventure-rockers, ‘eVe’ is a more existential consideration than their earlier work. The music comes across as a more expansive Linkin Park. eMuse if you will. Their cover of Shout is … (perhaps obviously for a cover) different whilst feeling the same. They’ve managed this dipole at a more intrinsic level however, than the generic superficiality which normally accompanies straight-up covers.
The band, long-influenced by literature and more theatrical scores, are still not doing anything especially wow-worthy, but as in their debut release “To Light the Coals of Hearts”, they’re maintaining their knack to edge their way up your most-played list and become a feature in your ears.
