Known for his 2013 collab with doom-metal pioneer Scott ‘Wino’ Weinrich, singer-songwriter Ochs follows 2011 debut Raw Love Songs with, well, some raw love songs. Straight acoustic plus soul-baring vocals, with no further ornament than a tentative harmonica and tambourine. Minimalism is for unveiling superb melody and lyricism. What have we got? “I’m too sad, I think I’m dying without having been born at all”.
