Peaceful and yet powerful, poetic even – hear music from trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire’s fifth LP – the Grammy-nominated “On The Tender Spot Of Every Calloused Moment” at this live show taking place as part of this year’s Brighton Festival.

His is a fresh sound pulling influences from genres as varied as hiphop, classical music and funk.

His latest work follows on from 2018’s “Origami Harvest”, which received high acclaim from the likes of GQ, Los Angeles Times and New York Times.

Also performing, composer, band leader and founder of the HipHarpCollective Alina Bzhezhinska joins
Ambrose ‘s Quartet.
