Former Strangler Hugh Cornwell, whose legendary songwriting you’ll be familar with, thanks to “Golden Brown”, “Strange Little Girl” and “Always The Sun” amongst others – is back in Brighton this November with his latest (full band!) show! Featuring “Nosferatu” performed in full, fave hits from The Stranglers and material from throughout his extraordinary solo career, grab this chance to see an icon performing live on stage in Brighton!
There’s no doubting the contribution made by this stupendous talent to the music of our time – and influence over artists past and present! During his time as leader of The Stranglers, he was ‘main songwriter’ for all of the band’s most memorable hits across ten incredible albums, securing forever a place in history; in the record collections of music boffs around the world, and on radio waves and stages across the globe!
Now see the pioneering musician, songwriter and performer on stage in Brighton, as he returns with this, his most recent full-band show – the “Come and Get Some” tour! Expect to hear a range of solo material, including 1979 album “Nosferatu” in full – plus of course, fan favourites from his time with The Stranglers! You’ll get to hear less well known material, alongside the Hugh Cornwell you know and love, beecause as Mojo put it, he’s “…still doing things his way, and often with striking results” – we can’t wait!
Support on the night will come from awesome retro-inspired Brazilian-Danish punk-rock pair The Courettes! Flavia Couri (guitar / vocals) and Martin (drums), will be giving audiences a taste of their new album “The Soul Of The Fabulous Courettes”, out now on Damaged Good Records, London and Rough Trade, London. Existing fans are in for a treat, and we’re sure the band will win over many new fans to boot, more info and tickets below.
