Award-winning comedian Samantha Baines has announced a small UK tour for 2018 taking in 8 dates starting on 8th February at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
Her critically acclaimed hour ‘1 Woman, A High-Flyer & A Flat Bottom’ already completed a sell out run at 2017’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has a forthcoming run at Soho Theatre this December. Expect facts, puns and an ear trumpet attached to a whiskey bottle. Samantha’s naturally charming wit ensures big laughs and her boundless enthusiasm for science means you might learn a little something too.
‘1 Woman, A High-Flyer & A Flat Bottom’ explores the lost women of science and readdresses the balance of doing a whole show last year about a fella – Brian Cox. She has chosen three ground-breaking women from an inventor, pilot and engineer, who should be household names but have mostly been completely lost from the history books. It explores the ladies lives and achievements.
