On Thursday 2 July 2026, the Royal Pavilion, Brighton will be transformed for one extraordinary evening into the Palace of Dragons.

Guests are invited to step inside a fantasy dining experience where the Royal Pavilion becomes a living dragon court filled with storytelling, performance and opulent design. Beneath the iconic dragon chandelier, the evening blends fine dining, music and theatrical spectacle in one of the most visually remarkable historic settings in the country.

Set within King George IV’s audacious seaside palace, renowned for its extraordinary Asian inspired architecture and interiors, this event reimagines the Royal Pavilion in a bold and imaginative way. The Palace of Dragons Banquet also marks the first known occasion in history in which a Chinese inspired banquet has been served at the Royal Pavilion.

The evening begins in the Pavilion’s Great Kitchen, where guests are welcomed with Dragon’s Breath Punch. From there, guests move through the building into the Music Room for a dragon inspired spectacle before continuing into the Banqueting Room for the main dining extravaganza.

A three-course dragon themed banquet will be served as a shared and theatrical dining event. The menu has been designed exclusively for this one-night and includes canapes on arrival, a seasonal starter, Chinese inspired sharing platters, and a specially created Dragon’s Egg dessert.

Throughout the evening, guests will dine to live harp performances featuring reimagined dragon inspired music. Atmospheric storytelling will also be woven throughout the experience, bringing themes of mythology, fantasy and celebration into the heart of the evening.

The Palace of Dragons Banquet is designed as a theatrical experience where guests are part of the story and the Royal Pavilion becomes the stage.

Guests are encouraged to dress in ‘fantasy finery’, if they wish to.

The event is strictly limited and advance booking is required.

Tickets include canapes, a three course dinner, alcoholic and soft drinks, and entertainment. Members receive a 15% discount.
