During this workshop you will be introduced to hand-building methods and techniques in ceramics. The tutor will give demonstrations and guide you through each method including pinch pots, slab and coiling. We will reflect on the history of each method and some time will be spent learning the theory behind the materials and processes used. You will have the opportunity to explore and practice the techniques and experiment with clay.

These pottery workshops will be calm and therapeutic, with a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

All tools and materials will be provided but please bring an apron or clothes you don’t mind getting dusty . Your pieces will be fired and glazed with your preferred glaze colour and available for collection in four weeks time. Note: There is £5 fee for firing each piece which you should pay at your session.
