SUMMARY:A creative afternoon to make your pottery piece at a very cosy clay
  studio.
DESCRIPTION:A relaxing afternoon  at a cosy & cute pottery studio to explor
 e and learn about beauty of clay.During this workshop you will be introduc
 ed to hand-building methods and techniques in ceramics. The tutor will giv
 e demonstrations and guide you through each method including pinch pots\, 
 slab and coiling. We will reflect on the history of each method and some t
 ime will be spent learning the theory behind the materials and processes u
 sed. You will have the opportunity to explore and practice the techniques 
 and experiment with clay. These pottery workshops  will be calm and therap
 eutic\, with a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.All tools and materials w
 ill be provided but please bring an apron or clothes you don’t mind gett
 ing dusty . Your pieces will be fired and glazed with your preferred glaze
  colour and available for collection in four weeks time. Note: There is £
 5 fee for firing each piece which you should pay at your session. Tea /cof
 fee &amp\; biscuits are provided.
