Hosted by the same guys of record label Hypercolour fame, The Sneaker Club launched last week at Coalition, and will run monthly on Fridays. The party brings “cool, underground, forward thinking electronic music” back to Brighton and with a dress down attitude (get your sneakers out!), The Sneaker Club is all about the music.
Sneaker Social Club is pushing to bring back some credibility to Brighton’s club scene, and the next one is on March 5. Headlining is Trus’me, who has his fingers in many pies including running the reputable Prime Numbers label, takes much influence from black music – his music has soul written all over it. He will be backed up by Roska (UK Funky or Nu-Garage as some like to call it) and Bearweasel who produce groove laden, sub bass cushioned house!
The Sneaker Club are also working with TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development) and they have a bin at each party to collect old shoes and trainers for the charity – you all have old kicks lying around at home so with a huge push on this you can party whilst helping out others less fortunate.
