2009 is Warp’s 20th year in music, film, events and design! To celebrate, two double-disc compilation albums will be released later this month.
The first album, Warp20 (Chosen), is a collection of Warp’s massive back catalogue. Disc One are songs chosen by Warp fans through a public vote on their website, and Disc Two includes Warp co-founder Steve Beckett’s favourite tracks. The second album, Warp20 (Recreated), has twenty-one brand new cover versions of Warp songs by Warp artists. These albums will also be available as a deluxe box set, ‘Warp20 (Box Set)’. The box set will also include three 10″ vinyls featuring previously unreleased tracks from the Warp archives, and a beautifully produced 192 page full colour book cataloguing the label’s rich design history.
