‘I Feel Better’ is Hot Chip’s new single following the release of the band’s fourth LP and single ‘One Life Stand.’ Peter Serafinowicz, of hilarious spoof ‘Look Around You’, directs the video for the single, with the boys reimagining themselves as a slick boy band troupe.
Alexis Taylor’s voice bounces over the happy synths as he sings “This is the longest night / I only want one night.” This neuvo-disco spliced with house makes it impossible to stay still in the boy’s party land. The computer loops and auto-tuned vocals of Joe Goddard builds momentum with ease; visions of happy club-goers waving arms are conjured in an instant.
Radio stations will jump on this like a puppy on heat; it’s so catchy it could almost be overplayed as soon as you hear it. Fear not, as always, they have employed a variety of remixers, so keep your ears peeled for storming remixes from Richard X, Den Haan and funky re-edit from London’s Ill Blum which will make their way to specialist DJ’s in the coming weeks.
