Shakedown Festival 2012 is pleased to announce a whole host of new acts to join the legendary Dizzee Rascal on the main stage for the last festival of the summer, and where else but the UK’s party capital, Brighton?! Following the massive success of last years event,  the event organisers have been busily working behind the scenes to deliver on their promise for another outstanding bill of current musical talent.

Professor Green will take to the stage before Dizzee Rascal this year, his debut album ‘Alive Till I’m Dead’ having smashed into the charts going double-Gold, with four hit singles ‘I Need You Tonight’, ‘Just Be Good To Green’, ‘Monster’ and ‘Jungle’. His second release, album ‘At Your Inconvenience’ produced the number 1 (single) ‘Read All About It’ garnering a whopping great following, with over 1.5 million friends on facebook!
Next up Brit Award winner Katy B enjoyed huge success with her debut album ‘On A Mission’ with her mix of dub step, funky, house, garage and r n’ b, the London songstress has also joined forces with uber producer Mark Ronson to record a track for the
Olympics. The much anticipated second album is due out this summer and her set is sure to be a Shakedown highlight.

Making heads turn wherever they perform with their bolshy, catchy brand of urban pop, Stooshe promise a memorable show
South London MC Clement Marfo and his genre-defying band The Frontline fuse grime and hip hop over a barrage of epic pop hooks and sweet soul vocals. Tipped for big things in 2012
Just some of the acts supporting the irrepressible Dizzee Rascal, who will headline the main stage, watch out for more  news soon! The ultimate showman, Dizzee Rascal will soon have the audience in the palm of his hand, running the show from the stage to make sure it’s a show to remember. With a sack load of number 1 hits under his belt including ‘Dance Wiv Me’, ‘Bonkers’, ‘Holiday’ and ‘Dirtee Disco’, what better way to top off proceedings than with a chance to catch Dizzee doing what he does best?!
The man himself said it has been a while since he had last played in Brighton –“I’m looking forward to Shakedown, it’s gonna be massive this year!” he said.
Shakedown promoter Steve Jones adds – “Pro Green and Katy B are the perfect way to build up to Dizzee on the main stage and I cannot wait to see them getting thousands of people worked up into a frenzy. Once you see who we have playing in the dance tent you are going to be blown away.”
Line up for the dance stage to be revealed shortly, expect beats, bass and electronic rhythms from the most cutting edge musical artists at the last festival of the summer. Union will also host the main stage and to warm up the crowd in the afternoon, plus Shakedown will showcase ONE LUCK UP AND COMING ACT on the main stage, to be decided through a huge competition over the summer months.
