Having recovered from his Pedals and Beerpumps Tour (which involved cycling 800 miles around the UK playing at pubs), Paul Heaton is to tour the UK in a more traditional and slightly less sweaty manner this autumn.
The tour is to coincide with the release of his new album “Acid Country,” available for your listening pleasure from September 13.
Recorded with his band in Colne, Lancashire earlier this year; the album was co-produced by Heaton and Christian Madden (of The Earlies), and the first single; “The Ladder’s Bottom Rung” is out September 6.
Eight dates are pencilled in for September, and as a bonus it has just been announced he is to support Madness on their November/December tour, which sees a Brighton date on December 15 at The Brighton Centre.
Tickets are available this Friday – July 30 – from 9.30am; gigsandtours.com.
Also, be sure to tune into BBC 6Music this week as the Sheffield-one sits in for Marc Riley, from 7pm daily.
