Consisting of two-thirds of Le Tigre, the exhilarating electro-pop outfit MEN are to release debut single “Credit Card Babie$” on September 6.
The Brooklyn-based outfit (what do they put in the water in that NY borough??) were originally conceived in 2007 by gender provocateur JD Samson, with fellow Le Tigre compatriot Johanna Fateman. As you would expect, the outcome is a highly energetic, politicised and most importantly just plain excellent music that demand the attention of the dance floor.
Expect an album sometime in 2011 from the new wave infused punk-funk guitar foursome, and some UK dates later this year that are a guarantee to be a raucous, extravagant affair.
