In an effort to make you feel even more festive than you probably already are, Slade (yes, Slade!) have devised an online game to keep you and your friends amused this Christmas break. It’s called ‘Noddy’s Snowballs’ and the aim of the game is to control Noddy Holder and help him pelt stuff with snowballs! You can also win a Santa stocking full of CDs and an option to ‘Slade Yourself’ for the ultimate hilarious Christmas card!
But wait! There’s more! Just in time for the festive season, Universal Music are proud to announce the release of ‘Merry Christmas Everybody – Slade Party Hits’. This compilation brings together some of the band’s best loved hits, including ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’, ‘Mama Weer All Crazee Now’, ‘C’mon Feel The Noize’ and ‘Skweeze Me Pleeze Me’ for the perfect (perfect?) Christmas compilation. Formed in 1966, Noddy Holder, Dave Hill, Jimmy Lea and Don Powell notched up 23 Top 20 singles (including six No 1’s) and six hit albums. The band scored an incredible eleven top five singles between 1971 and 1974 alone, and in the early seventies Slade were, without doubt, the biggest band in the UK charts.
