Munich, formally Maura Kincaid, have been making their mark on the Brighton rock scene over the past three years and now they are busy preparing to play London next month. Munich’s sound has been described as “anthemic stadium guitar based rock with a strong but poignant vocal and the occasional synth thrown in.”  In 2009 the five-piece – under the name Maura Kincaid – became a finalist in the ‘Q The Music’ Magazine Emerging Talent Competition which led them to play at Glastonbury festival, and since then the boys have been hard at work writing and recording new demos.
Munich recently supported fellow one-to-watch band Chapel Club, so this upcoming gig at London’s 229 (W1) on April 9 may be your final chance to catch them before they make it big!  Get up there and support local talent, Munich are on at 8.45pm – which means for you lot in Brighton that you can still catch the last train home – so no excuses!!
