Kele Okereke of Bloc Party has announced details of his first UK solo tour, which includes a Brighton date at Digital on June 24.
Lead single “Tenderoni” marks a notable departure from his previous work with Bloc Party, featuring an intense electro-heavy sound and bodes well for the new album, “The Boxer”. His full debut is set for release just a few days before the Digital show, hitting the shelves on June 21, and features NYC remix demon XXXChange behind the controls as producer.
It will be one of the first chances to see Kele as a solo act, and the special show acts as a ‘warm-up’ before his Glastonbury slot on June 25, on the John Peel Stage, before continuing with his full UK tour.
