Australian rock band, Violent Soho, is back with an exciting new single called “Jesus Stole My Girlfriend” – out July 26.
Violent Soho self released an album and drove themselves round Australia touring for five years. A copy of the album (that was recorded in their garage!) was given to Thurston Moore who loved it and was at their first gig in New York. Then Rick Rubin heard about them and personally invited them to play at his condo in Malibu! Moore gave Violent Soho a deal on his Ecstatic Peace! label and got the best producers in the genre; Gil Norton (Jimmy Eat World, The Distillers) made the record in the Welsh countryside before it was mixed by Rich Costey (Mastondon, Muse, Mars Volta, Interpol.) – the production team behind The Pretenders and Foo Fighters.
