Alex Winston is trained in opera but hails from Detroit, “Rock City”, Michigan; the home to Diana Ross, The Supremes, The Stooges, Smokey Robinson etc, so it’s no wonder musical-Americana flows in her veins – she even once opened for Chuck Berry!  Alex’s dad gave her her first guitar when she was just seven years old and 14 years later, she can be heard on her “The Basement Covers EP” (available now as a free download) playing guitar, piano and drums.
Alex Winston will release her debut single “Choice Notes” on August 2 through HeavyRoc Music.
