Gallows (pictured), Sepultura, Rolo Tomassi, The Subways, Napalm Death, Polar Bear Club, Dead Swans, Lower Than Atlantis and Feed The Rhino have been confirmed for a new summer festival in Kent. The Hevy Music Festival 2010 will feature four stages of great alternative bands, live extreme sports displays and the UK’s most exhilarating thrill-rides, over the weekend 6-8 August at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park.
“There’s some fantastic little festivals down here that offer a great family-friendly product. But we’ve always felt there’s a need in this corner of the UK for something a little heavier, and that’s what we hope to be – Kent’s alternative music festival. We’re really going for it too – with huge bands from all corners of rock, punk, hardcore and metal, insane extreme sports displays and some hand-picked, state-of-the-art thrill rides – everything on site is totally focused at the alternative market…” – James and Claire, Hevy co-founders.
More bands are to be announced very soon. Weekend camping tickets cost just £69 and are on sale now at hevy.co.uk.
