Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural annual showcase of some of the best BA photography graduates from 2008, Crane Kalman Brighton is pleased to present Cream II, an exhibition featuring a new selection of the most interesting and diverse photographic talents to emerge from 2009. The exhibition includes graduates from the most prestigious universities and colleges the length and breadth of the country.
Ceridwen Olofson of Camberwell College of Arts (pictured below) ‘Abaxial Surface’ seeks to create an intimacy through visceral imagery. Shiho Kito’s ‘Pikari’, of Creative for the Creative Arts, Farnham (pictured above) is a photographic journey in which Kito uses city lights as a means of finding her own place and these works are inspired by the ancient practice used by sailors who used the stars and the natural world around them to navigate.
Cream II: A Showcase of Graduate Photography Talent runs until 4 April 2010 at Crane Kalman on Kensington Gardens.
