The Exposure Music Awards 2010 is now open for registrants and the hunt for new acts has begun!
Now in their third year, the EMAs are the perfect opportunity for artists – signed and unsigned – to get their music heard by a panel of illustrious industry experts. Every registrant will have their submitted recordings listened to by this year’s panel of judges who will choose a shortlist of nominees. Last years panel of judges included experts from major labels EMI, Sony, Virgin and the Grammy Nominated record producer John Wooler.
The Awards Show is open to artists of all genres from the UK and beyond with Local, Out Of Area and International categories.
Nominees will then get an opportunity to perform at the EMAs Award Ceremony in Cheltenham’s The Front Rooms in March, which is filmed and distributed to the industry along with a possibility of having their music featured on the EMAs compilation CD. All registrants are also eligible to appear at the regular EMA showcases in London and Cheltenham while the judge’s chosen nominees get the opportunity to perform on the various EMA UK-wide tours.
Registration for the competition closes at the end of February.
Last year’s winner of the Best Male Artist category Metis, has gone on to strike a deal with Universal, while six other winners have signed artist development deals with Raven Black Music following the 2009 ceremony.
