There was a free bar, Soul of Man (accompanied by some trusted Brighton DJs), and some old skool rave attitude down at Kuku’s Wake Up the other night and if you weren’t there, you lost out hard.
Since Kuku devoted itself to raising the bar for free dirty breaks, dubstep and drum and bass type-nights in Brighton the term has found itself a new potential. Wake Up could possibly be the slap in the face to the ‘one big name = extortionate pricing’ mess that Brighton ravers have been asking to happen for a long time coming. Get involved kids.. The next Wake Up will be January 12th 2010.
Just around the corner, nestled in between R-Bar and Three And Ten on Steine Street, OM Bar has met this with an equally awesome drum and bass student night involving cheap drinks and free entry into a sweet as venue. Temperature @ OM Bar is a brand new night on Tuesday’s – weekly, the next one is Tuesday 15th December.
