Calling all Bestival fans! HELP!
Bestival HQ has been broken into by criminals!

15 extremely special mirrorballs commissioned especially for the main stage set for during Nile Rodgers & Chic’s Desert Island Disco spectacular have been taken!! At this year’s festival (September 4-7 on the Isle of Wight) Nile’s and Chic’s show is set to bring down the curtain on the last night of this year’s award-winning Bestival music festival. The mirrorball thieves, who escaped unseen, left a ransom note stating that clues will be released as to the whereabouts of the stolen haul of mirrorballs; some of which will be left in a secret location in Brighton at lunchtime June 2.
All they’ve given us to go on is this cryptic clue:
“In 1787 the family regally decamped. To Brighton in search of lots of sand. This mirrorball should quite easily be found. But don’t stop for tea at the cricket ground.”
Bestival curator Rob da Bank & his team are VERY keen to secure the safe return of their special sparkling balls, and have offered a generous reward in the form of a pair of Bestival tickets (worth £195 per ticket!) to any members of the public who find & return one of their beloved Bestival mirrorballs.
