WHY CARE: It would be easy to write off ‘electronic’ and ‘folk’ as being two genres that shouldn’t be allowed to hang out with each other. Thankfully, this duo is disproving that theory, allowing subtle acoustic guitar and hazy lo-fi beats to exist in perfect harmony. These delicate but intelligent rhythms provide the perfect backdrop for Rachel’s layered vocal harmonies, naturally swelling and flowing until we are left in a daydream-like state. Having released their debut album “As It Is” earlier this year, there’s no better time to step in to their haunting and intriguing world.
