Winnebago Deal play Goo Goo Muck @ The Hobgoblin, 29 August

On witnessing the awesome power of Winnebago Deal for the first time, the discerning listener would be forgiven for thinking they were hearing four or five guys attacking their instruments with everything they’ve got.

You’d be wrong. The ‘Deal are a two-piece who specialise in melding abrasive stoner-rock riffage with trashy Bonham-esque drums. With Goo Goo Muck dealing only with the absolute cream of the alternative scene and with support from crazy punk Mexicans Los Mendozas and awesome grunge troupe Trippin Violet, this show promises to be a wee bit special.
