The Hope, 5 September

We like The Stash. Bringing the best local music to The Hope, this is their fourth birthday celebration and they’re doing it in style with four of their favourite bands.

Headliners are Gentleman Starkey, the excellent garage rockers who lure you into their dark world before wrapping you in their welcoming arms. Expect husky vocals, bluesy rhythms and songs that feel like two laps round the world’s best ghost train.

Support comes from the Jackdaws, Hometown Show and Amity, plus resident DJs spinning ska, northern soul, rockabilly and rhythm and blues. Wallop!
