Bands such as Audioslave, Tool and The Mars Volta spring to mind when listening to The M-Theory. That being said, they successfully manage to avoid easy categorization, thanks to their constantly evolving, genre-spanning sound and vast range of influences. Since releasing their debut EP “Entropy” towards the end of last year, live performances from this Brighton three-piece have been infrequent, but consistently impressive, further demonstrating the great musicianship and song writing talent heard on their recordings.
Intense showmanship ties together an array of progressive riffs, improvisation, complex time signatures and soaring vocal melodies. It’s atmospheric, epic, and very loud. Perfect for the charming sweatbox that is The Hope. The support acts for the evening come hand picked by The M-Theory; opening the night are the psychedelic surf-rock sounds of Nitzam, followed by the unmistakably British rock ‘n’ roll anthems of Nightworkers.
