Despite failing to match the success of their contemporaries, these early 1980s new romantics are fondly remembered, albeit primarily for that hair. It’s easy to forget that the band wrote two classic pop songs, songs which set the template for the synth-pop revival of La Roux and co. Those songs, “I Ran” and “Wishing (I Had a Photograph of You)” seem oddly ageless in the current musical climate. Presumably singer and former hairdresser Mike Score is not still sporting the same barnet these days, but the nostalgia crowd won’t mind.
