Hypnotic Brass Ensemble are a nine-piece brass collective signed to Damon Albarn’s label Honest Jon. Based in Chicago, HBE have recorded with Erykah Badu, toured with Mos Def and Blur, and featured many times on the latest Gorillaz album Plastic Beach – even alongside rap superstar Snoop Dogg. They released their self-titled debut album last year which features contributions from Damon Albarn himself and Flea. With support from Canadian’s The Souljazz Orchestra.
