Back from another year, this summer’s 4 week programme is now in full swing at the Village Square at Brighton Marina, showing four weeks of live sporting events, firm family favourites and a special broadcast of live opera in partnership with the Royal Opera House, all on a massive outdoor screen!
Sporting events showing will include live coverage from the FIFA World Cup in France, and Wimbledon, whilst at weekends you can take the family down there for classics like “Moana, The Greatest Showman”, “Wonder Woman”, “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, “Jungle Book Live”, “Avatar”, “Jaws 2” and “Mamma Mia – Here we go Again”.
Opera fans can enjoy a Royal Opera House live screening of timeless, passion-driven opera “Carmen” July 2.
Speaking about this year’s activities, Brighton’s Big Screen Events MD Sophie Chandler said:
“We are pleased to be able to offer the Big Screen for free once again. As always, we will concentrate on popular live sporting events, our usual partnership with the Royal Opera House as well as a few classic movies. The Village Square is the perfect setting with boats in the background, a soft lawn, deckchairs and beanbags to sit back, relax and watch the shows”.
