Formed by Tanya Donelly after her departure from The Breeders, with brothers Tom and Chris Gorman and Gail Greenwood on bass, the band have released a couple of albums, Grammy nominated “Star” (two million copies sold worldwide) and “King” in 1995, produced by the legend that is Glyn Johns. They’ve opened for REM, U2, and the Velvet Underground, and toured with Radiohead, Catherine Wheel, and the Cranberries amongst others. They’d taken a lengthy hiatus, but later in 2015 (20 years on from their last show), Belly reunited, setting out on a limited tour in 2016, and going on to write a few new songs together, and it all led up to the band working on a new album!
