Expect debut UK performances and special collaborations in this exciting event, billed as the UK’s newest and most daring jazz festival!
An alternative to mainstream, commercial festivals, it promises exciting, left-field improv and deep jazz – both for those in the know, and those keen to learn.
In this, the festival’s second year of world-class music, see some of the most creative avant-jazz practitioners working today in the UK, US and Europe, and improvisers from scenes and communities not often represented at UK festivals, along with risk-taking female musicians, still under-represented in other jazz fests.
With performance from Artifacts Trio, featuring Nicole Mitchell, Tomeka Reid and Mike Reed (US), Ingrid Laubrock and Tom Rainey (US), Sophie Agnel, Steve Noble and John Edwards (France/UK), Bourne Davis Kane with Paul Dunmall (UK), Konstrukt with Alexander Hawkins (Turkey/UK) and more.
Fri 9 Sep, 7:30pm £20 and Sat 10 Sep, 5pm £35; or a full weekend ticket for £50.
