Moving from Sweden to London back in 2016, the trio have made a name for themselves on the live circuit in London with their genre bending sound. Three best friends, Karin Grönkvist (guitar and vocals), Norea Persson (drums and electronics) and Tyra Örnberg (bass and vocals), create dark dreamscapes and haunting harmonies in a nook some-where between doomsday pop and art rock – along the lines of Warpaint, XX and Slowdive.
Karin and Tyra met in highschool in Lund, Sweden and Norea joined in reply to a call out for a last minute drummer for a show, and they’ve since been honing their material as a trio.
“We started as punk musicians with strong connections in the DIY-scene. We would put on gigs ourselves, press CDs and record in various basements just to learn as much as we could on a zero budget!”
They’ve already made a rep for themselves in Sweden, and having moved to London to push things forward with their music, they’ve since toured with Editors in Europe and supported bands like Blonde Redhead, Emma Ruth Rundle and Goat Girl.
