Presented by One Inch Badge, this show sees the recent XYZ Magazine cover star hit the stage in Brighton with music from her recent LP release “Flamingo”.
Australian Music Prize and ARIA nominated Olympia, aka Olivia Bartley said of her sophomore album: “The record explores how grief and desire are intertwined. It’s referencing a personal tragedy – the addiction and loss of someone very close to me”. “But it’s not a project of catharsis – I chose to submit myself to this experience because I wanted to create from inside it, rather than explaining it. I’ve tried to borrow from my own grief to create its inverse: something joyous. Something beyond myself, something fantastic – something new”.
Don’t miss this chance to see this huge talent from down-under on stage at Patterns this month – you won’t regret it.
Deets: 18+, 20p per ticket sold on DICE will be donated to The Clock Tower Sanctuary, a local day centre for homeless or insecurely housed 16-25-year olds.
