After decades of wage stagnation, insecure work and declining union membership, Trade unionism is changing. Found in smaller, generally newer unions, and some of the most difficult and historically unorganised workplaces, the new face of trade unionism is young, energetic and winning.

Join Red Pepper as we celebrate our Winter issue by asking how this new movement sees itself within the changing nature of work? What kinds of strategies are being deployed to challenge bosses? Why are these unions succeeding?

Red Pepper is a quarterly magazine and website of left politics and culture. We’re a socialist publication drawing on feminist, green and libertarian politics. We seek to be a space for debate on the left, a resource for movements for social justice, and a home for open-minded anti-capitalists.
