NOUM /nu:m/ is a rock band that grew stranger as time went by. It is led by folk and electronic artist Noémie Ducimetière, whose ancient music explorations bloom in this project. Through her vocals, tiny guitar and a mountain of hardware, the project transmutes its roots of folk, grunge and rave music to shake the divide between the experimental and the traditional. Electronic artist and instrument maker Vahakn Matossian (Sonnen), who has been a part of Noum since formation, will join Noémie in this residency to cultivate an attitude of exploration in performance and work on bringing improvisation to the stage. Expect euphoria and come with an interest in time travel.

This show will be the culmination of a week-long residency at The Rose Hill where the pair will work together to develop their improvisations for stage. They will be playing records after the live show and be hanging out to chat about what they have been up to.
