ZACH KLEISINGER (CANADA)
There is a distinct vulnerability in Zach Kleisinger’s music. With a voice that is deep, slow, and soaked in sorrow, the young Canadian reflects on the human condition with stories that chronicle everyday moments. His second EP, I Hope It’s Calm, Then was released in March 2018 to much acclaim. The album has since garnered 250k+ streams on Spotify, landing in the popular Spotify-curated playlist, Folk & Friends. More recently, he released ‘You Should Hold Me’ and ‘Lower Your Book’. He is no stranger to the road, having toured Canada three times and will close out the year with shows in the UK & Europe.

Lisa Nora, who is currently based in Brighton, is a singer/songwriter, characterized by a mix of pop/folk music. Her songs, inspired by a combination of the past, special stories and contemporary heroes (such as Passenger, Hozier, Mumford & Sons and Ben Howard) will enchant you, like an adventurous book in which you are the story.
Taylor Swift and Alanis Morrisette meet Paramore with an “exciting new pop artist to look out for.” With stores such as H&M, Costa Coffee, Pure Gym and Topman playing her EP, Meg Lawrenson creates anthemic songs, with catchy melodies and a bold, powerful band behind her. As a natural storyteller, Meg, full of wit, empathy and sometimes humorous anecdotes, creates songs that will definitely get stuck in your head. Her energetic performance from herself and her band have led them to support some great artists, such as ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’s Toploader, Kyle Falconer (from The View) and was recently featured on BBC Introducing in Oxford and BBC Radio Kent.
Whiskey weathered Brighton based troubadour trio fusing eclectic and disparate musical stylings to tell stories of the morning after the night before through the lens of something that might be folk. “Like Tom Waits but, like, smashed on coke”; Drunk Man at Gig.
