About this event
Level 2 of The Maydays short form improvised comedy courses.
This 6-week, level 2 course will go more deeply into the techniques that make improvisation games fly! Character, object work, wordplay, physical comedy. Learn more about the kind of games you like and your own improv superpowers. And do a show at the end for friends and family!
What can I expect?

A refresher of the principles of improv (listening and saying yes)

An opportunity to play ‘Whose line is it anyway’ short form improv games in front of the group

How to do some of the trickier performance games

Directing your own short form show.
Who is this course suitable for?
-
Adults aged 18 – 100
-
Those who are graduates of Maydays level 1 (or equivalent).

Those with some acting experience.
Min. participants 7, Max. 16.
If we have to cancel the event due to low numbers, we will do this with 24 hours notice (and you will receive a warning 48 hours before the course if this looks likely).

When: Tuesday nights for 6-weeks, from 17th January to 21st February, 7-9.30 pm each week, with a performance showcase for family and friends on Friday 24th February from 7.30pm at the Lantern Theatre, Brighton.

Cost: £165.00 general, £148.51 concession

Due to performance show costs, this course costs is 10% more than our standard 6-week courses with no performance element.
