Stephen’s songs have seen him invited to perform at many stages and festivals including the coveted Q Magazine stage at Glastonbury Festival and the prestigious Canadian Music Week and his songs have received wide ranging national airplay (BBC 6, BBC 2, X FM, and Absolute Radio) as well as critical acclaim.
Stephen has also worked at the world renowned Rockfield Studios writing and recording 2 albums and an E.P. with producer Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild, The Who) Stephen is joined in this live incarnation by Nick Van Vlaenderen on Drums and Vocals (Rhythm Rifles/South Coast Soul Review), Oddur Runnarson on Guitar (Lamb) and Paul Pascoe on Bass (Beat Hotel/Mudlow/Palm Springs)
Stephen and band continue to debut new material from a large and varied songbook amassed since the demise of the Mojo Fins and will be releasing a debut album in early 2019 on Amazon Records.
‘Glistening listening that threatens to swallow you whole. with hypnotic and elegant poise and gilded and gliding tones. It’s simple really. Great songs brilliantly performed and overlaid with Stephen’s effortlessly distinctive and beautiful vocals’
Nick Tokzek, R2 Magazine
Sonic Summer Pudding
A sumptuous melodic confection of Rickenbackers, flute, mellotron and groovy rhythm section drawing influences from mid -late 60’s psychedelic pop.
Luminaries such as Barret era Floyd, Village Green Kinks, the mustachioed Beatles, Immediate Small faces, Smiley Beach Bous and early Traffic are all present and correct in spirit and form.
Definitely a band for those who like their pop paisley, and steeped in a rich and melodic tradition.
