SUPPORT FROM ‘BINS’

After releasing their touching rendition of ‘Colorblind’ together at the end of 2019, Katie Malco and S. T. Manville are heading out on a short UK tour together. Both formidable solo acts in their own right, expect a unique evening of both Malco and Manville’s individual brands of songwriting as well as the opportunity to see them accompanying each other on stage.

Katie Malco writes music that sits quietly somewhere between an aching, serene sadness and a hopeful determination. She mourns her past and lays it out on the table for all to see, exposed with twitching nerves. Armed with only an old telecaster that’s seen better days, a piano and her voice, Malco has toured the UK and mainland Europe extensively. The spell-binding artist recently embarked upon a UK tour with Tennessee’s Julien Baker (Matador), including a sold out Union Chapel show. Following on from self-produced EP Four Goodbyes and Katie Malco and the Slow Parade, which was recorded in a North London church with Grammy-nominated producer and artist Iain Archer (James Bay, Snow Patrol, Jake Bugg), Malco’s most recent EP is a bold collection of piano based compositions recorded live in an old studio hall. The EP, Tearing Ventricles, was released on Alcopop! Records. Malco is currently recording her debut album, due for release in 2020 on 6131 Records (Julien Baker, Self Defense Family, Culture Abuse).

– Shout For Music

S T Manville grew up playing in punk bands. After tiring of non stop DIY touring he went on to write both platinum and gold selling records, working with artists such as Mø, Biffy Clyro, Burna Boy, Little Mix and Becky Hill. Records he has worked on have been streamed over 50 Million times. However, disenchanted with the pop world, towards the end of 2018 Manville picked up a guitar

and started writing for himself. What came next was a flood of highly personal songs full of regret, awe, sorrow and hope. In the 10 months since his first release S. T. Manville has clocked up over 1 Million streams, been supported by Radio 1 (Phil Taggart), BBC 6 Music (Tom Robinson), BBC Introducing (Dean jackson), Kerrang! Radio (Alex Baker), Flux FM, DIY Mag, i-d Magazine and Discovered Magazine. 2019 saw him play a successful run of dates all over the UK, perform at Dot to Dot and Handmade Festival as well as support Frank Turner, Jonah Matranga and Natalie Evans. With a new EP scheduled for Spring 2020 Manville is quickly making a name for himself as one of the most promising new acts around.

– Frank Turner

“Gorgeous” – Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro)”
“Spellbinding” – Brett Gurewitz (Bad Religion)
“Beautiful” – Dean Jackson (BBC Introducing)
