Jacko Hooper is a songwriter who combines soulful vocals, honest words and atmospheric musicianship seeking influence from the things around him that mean the most.
Performances with Chet Faker, Amber Run, Marika Hackman, James Bay, Natalie Prass, Russian Red, Foxes, SOAK and James Blunt at the 5,000 capacity Brighton Centre occurred over the years that followed allowing Jacko to develop his story and songwriting further.
With a strong independent ethos and respected work ethic, Jacko has gone on to accumulate over 2,000,000 plays on Spotify and 1,000,000 views on YouTube. His journey has taken him from humble beginnings and thanks to the support of the community he has helped create, it is time to let those into the next part of his story and present the next instalment of the journey with the release of Together We’re Lost.
The title itself is a nod towards the people that mean so much to him, independently we have times where we struggle and times where we feel so alone and lost. These songs will hopefully help those within the community realise that even if you are lost, we are lost together.
‘Something quite darkly beautiful…’
– Clash
‘One of our favourite singer-songwriters this year. With a dedicated army of followers around the world and a voice recalling the late Jeff Buckley, we predict huge things for next year…’
– Source Magazine
“Jacko Hooper is without doubt one of the best artist to feature on Balcony TV to date, his live performance is gripping and intense and his songs stay with you long after the show, catchy melodies and clever chord structures, he is one to watch…”
– BalconyTV
