First Press Record Fair is Brighton’s newest record fair, bringing together label fresh vinyl and vintage favourites to the soundtrack of local DJs and brand new music from local bands.

Our debut event is Sunday 4th December featuring a full house of independent labels and local sellers from the sunny south coast alongside all vinyl DJ sets broadcast live on Slack City Radio.

We’ll be at The Prince Albert from midday and we can’t wait to see you there! FREE ENTRY!

Based in Seven Dials, Puck Coffee is a bright new star in the Brighton vinyl scene, serving up new and vintage records from Aphex Twin to Zappa and everything in between.

After setting up shop in the Open Market last year for the weekends, Vinyl Selecter has gone from strength to strength and you can now find Gordon there nearly every day with a selection of vintage vinyl – including a wide selection of reggae, classic rock, dance 12”, soul, funk and much more

Friend of Slack City David Loja has been selling via Discogs for years and will be scratching an eclectic itch alongside Brighton’s newest record shop Noa Records in Presuming Ed’s, with a refreshing selection of world music, hip hop, disco and a selection of tapes.

Music Mania is a traditional record shop that stocks anything from Debussy to Depeche Mode and all that lies between; stock is constantly refreshed and you’ll be met with a friendly face when you pop in for that vinyl grail that has eluded you thus far. Since its first release in 2017, the label has snowballed from its initial offerings of curious electronica into uncategorisable music of all colours and styles. From film scores to dancefloor excursions to ancient folk music, observing the label from a birds-eye perspective produces a picture of a vast network of creativity.

A design-conscious boutique label from Istanbul & London with a focus on experimental electronic, contemporary classical and avant-ambient music. Launched in 2014 by Siné Buyuka aka Sinemis. Also operating as a promoter and music publisher in partnership with Wise Music

Hive Mind is a vinyl led record label bringing you vintage and contemporary sounds from around the globe. Hive Mind follow the teachings of Sun Ra – “Music is a plane of wisdom, because music is a universal language, it is a language of honor, it is a noble precept, a gift of the Airy Kingdom, music is air, a universal existence … common to all the living.”

For the last 10 years, Blue Tapes has curated a numbered series of releases emphasising different aspects of minimal music – from grime to gugak, American primitivism to Japanese ambient – presented with appropriately minimal and sometimes abstract cyanotype artwork.
